About

Set up in 2015, Storehouse Pantries were based in 2 local communities to provide not only food but also volunteering, courses that encouraged the building of skills and confidence and support that was targeted to the needs of that community. Over the course of the pandemic the Pantries were developed to provide food safely and to respond to the increased demand.

What we do
Storehouse Pantries provide long term, intensive support for those who have ongoing issues. There is a weekly membership fee of £2.50 which will grant an individual or household access to receive food, specific support in their situation, and opportunities to attend courses and, events in their community. The main difference between Storehouse Foodbank and Storehouse Pantry is the length of time someone can receive the food for. With Storehouse Foodbank we have a limit on the number of food parcels someone can receive, however with a Pantry someone can receive the food support for as long as they need it as long as they are engaging with all of the support offered.
We now have 3 Pantries:
• Brownlow Fold Church of the Nazarene, Halliwell
• New Bury UCAN
• Deepdale Community Centre, Breightmet
Bolton at Home manage the membership process and professionals or individuals can refer. For more information on how to become a member please go to https://www.boltonathome.org.uk/food-support
