Children & Families Team

Georgia

Georgia joined the Children and Families team in September 2023. Before joining us, she worked as a corporate tax accountant. Georgia decided to leave her training and look for a role where she could be directly involved in helping young people, which is what led her to Urban Outreach. She is also a Youth Pastor at a local church and has a degree in Religions and Theology. She has been involved in youth and children’s work since 2014 and is passionate about seeing young people live their lives to the full. Her hope is for every young person to know there are people who see the ‘gold’ in them, want to see them thrive and will support them to do so.

Jez

Jez joined Urban Outreach in August 2024. Before joining us, he worked as an auditor and accountant in practice at several firms of accountants. He has a degree in Accounting and Finance and qualified as a Chartered Accountant over 30 years ago. Jez has a passion for working with children and young people in different settings. He has been involved in many youth groups, discipleship and mentoring groups, and Sunday School groups for over 25 years in a voluntary capacity. He was seeking an opportunity to use these skills and experience in an employed role and was excited to join our Children and Families team on the RISE project supporting 11-16 year olds with their emotional wellbeing.

Juliette

Juliette joined the Urban Outreach team in July 2024 working within our RISE team giving emotional support to 8-18 year olds. She has a passion for serving our Bolton community and has always been involved in community outreach. Her past employment was working with SEN children as a teaching assistant and she has always had a heart for the emotional support of others and has achieved her Level 2 and 3 in Counselling.

Helen

Helen joined the children and Families team in August 2023. She works on our RISE project supporting 8-11 year olds with their emotional well-being. She comes from a background of primary school teaching, her most recent experience being in the specials school setting. She brings a passion to help young people thrive whatever their abilities or experiences. Helen is also an authorised Lay Minister in her local parish of St Peter’s Halliwell, where her main focus is to see people with learning differences and disabilities included within services and parish life.

Nigel

Before coming to us, Nigel worked in ambulance services, education and computing. He initially joined us in 2018 to look after our service providing emergency food parcels and utility top-ups to people in crisis. Nigel now provides administrative support and data analysis for the Children and Families Team. He also provides HR and Health and Safety admin support.
