Funding boost from Lloyds Foundation
Urban Outreach will be able to do more to help disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the community thanks to a three year £75,000 Invest grant from Lloyds Bank Foundation. The grant will fund the salary of a team leader for adult support who will strengthen the charity’s programme for vulnerable adults.
Dave Bagley, Chief Executive of Urban Outreach, said: “This funding will strengthen our programme of support for a range of people we work with including: women with a history of offending, adults who are homeless or in unstable accommodation, families in need, and adults with a range of complex social and lifestyle needs. At Urban Outreach, we support vulnerable adults and families, holistically addressing their needs and enabling them to make positive choices and changes in their lives. We believe that everyone has the potential to flourish despite life events or background. We want the people we work with to build a stronger future and live free from abuse, poverty, neglect and crime.”
Paul Streets OBE, Chief Executive of Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales, said:
“We are pleased to get this new year off to a great start by supporting Urban Outreach, whose work in their community is invaluable. We will be working even more closely with all the charities we support in 2017 to make sure their voices are heard.”
