Our food-based projects benefit from the generosity of many schools, churches, organisations and individuals who collect and donate food – both at harvest time and throughout the year. Many public places in Bolton have one of our “Grub Tubs” or donation points where people can deposit their food donations. The location of our Grub Tubs can be found here. However, please do contact us to check as some have been relocated as a consequence of the pandemic. If you know of a good location where we might install a donation point, please do get in touch.
If you click here you can see a list of the food items we would ideally like to receive to help us make up food parcels distributed from our Food Hub. We are often short of tins of pulses, tuna, vegetables, meat-based items, chopped tomatoes and jars of pasta/curry sauce.
Donated food can be dropped off at the Food Hub which is the former Staples / Office Outlet unit on Trinity Retail Park, off Bradford Street, Bolton BL2 1HY. Just drive down past Burger King and Arnold Clark car sales, (see photo opposite). The Hub is open for drop-offs and deliveries on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the times of 10am – 12noon and from 2.00 – 4.00 pm.
You might like to consider getting a supermarket to deliver an order directly to us!
Just providing food is not a long-term solution to helping people who are struggling – particularly at this difficult time. So we work with a range of specialist agencies to ensure the right sort of support can be provided alongside the food parcels.
